The brief was to save the world - addressing the insecurity of global resources and the doomsday futures this could lead to; the issue tackled by the project is climate change. In this fictional scenario The Big Melt Committee is formed, a new collaborative committee driving community engagement to respond to the ‘climpocalypse’.
The design deliverables of the project include the visual identity created to represent the community group and a printed manifesto with a digital adaptation, to be interacted with in public spaces to increase sign ups and engagement.
The designs are bold, clear and impactful, to increase community interaction and even involve the public in guerrilla marketing with the inclusion of stickers in the manifesto to spread the message far and wide. The tone of voice and associated visual imagery balances the urgency and doom of the issue whilst providing optimism and an opportunity for growth.
